Stunning Stunt Sequences in 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' Earn Prestigious Nomination at US Stunt Awards

Having clinched the title of the highest-grossing Pakistani film, 'The Legend of Maula Jatt,' directed by Bilal Lashari, now adds another prestigious achievement to its repertoire with a nomination in the highly coveted Best Fight category. This nomination recognizes the unforgettable, heart-pounding final showdown between Maula and Noori, portrayed by the exceptionally talented Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, respectively.

The film's adrenaline-pumping stunts, meticulously choreographed by the renowned stunt coordinator Ian Van Temperley, pit it against formidable contenders such as "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and "The Gray Man," among others.

The Taurus World Stunt Awards annually celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of stunt performers from the global film industry. Since its inception in 2001, these awards have consistently set the highest standards for recognition in the field.

Held each year in Los Angeles, previous winners in the Best Fight category have included blockbuster Hollywood hits like "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," "Kingsman," "Fast and Furious 6," "Inception," and "The Avengers." Now, the local sensation, 'The Legend of Maula Jatt,' aims to secure its place among these esteemed titles.

Released in October 2022, this acclaimed film shows no signs of slowing down, as it gained unprecedented momentum in its initial weeks of release. Its success is underscored by its achievement of becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time at the global box office within just four weeks. Before this milestone, it had already claimed the titles of the highest-grossing Pakistani film and the second-highest-grossing film in the UK for 2022. Additionally, it solidified its position as the most-watched South Asian film in Norway. Remarkably, 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' swiftly crossed the Rs400 crore mark at the worldwide box office, firmly establishing itself as a cinematic powerhouse.
